Purple Mattress

Purple is known for their quirky commercials promoting their quality mattress shipped to your doorstep in a box. And while those commercials are fun, they wanted to reach a new audience. This new audience they wanted to target was one that cared about what experts have to say, instead of just laughing at visual gags. That said, they didn’t want a boring testimonial. They still wanted it to have their brand’s voice. The result is a fun romp with a chiropractor, his mattress of choice and his favorite skeleton.

Testimonials are one of the most powerful videos a company can have. Often they are real people giving their honest feedback on a product or an experience. So scripting a humorous take on a testimonial, while remaining truthful to the subject’s honest opinion of a product is no easy task.

This testimonial involved filming with a professional chiropractor in his office, as well as around his home. We wanted to bring through his personality as well as adding some fun, with his skeleton character who is often with him.

From concept to delivery we helped the director get in place everything he needed: crew, equipment, lighting, set decor, props and scheduling. We have been a frequent collaborator with him and this commercial has definitely been one of the highlights of years of working together.

We shot this commercial in Charlotte, and it has aired nationally.
