REEDS Jewelers is the largest family-owned jewelry company in America, with more than 80 stores across the southeastern United States. The Wallaby team has worked with them since 2012 and provided all of their video needs and been on retainer with them since 2016. Over this course of time we’ve produced thousands of videos for the company, including award-winning nationally broadcast commercials and promotional videos, branded content for social media marketing campaigns, training videos and corporate messaging.

Trusted with Life’s Moments

Starting in 2023, Reeds Jewelers went through a rebranding and changed their tagline to “Trusted with Life’s Moments.”

Wallaby was tasked with overhauling Reeds video content with a series of all new commercials. These commercials would air nationally on TV, CTV, social media and various other outlets. Reeds Jewelers wanted to feature unique moments that touched on the power of love, but also how that experience is unique to each and every individual. This was done for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Holiday.

As Wallaby always does when working with any retainer client, the team pitched the concepts, scouted the locations, hired talent and supplied all the crew and equipment. Wallaby also handled all the editing, cutting hundreds of various versions of the new campaign to feature at different times of year. This included various durations, sizes and product features to make sure each video looked perfect regardless of where it was seen.

CTV CAMPAIGN

2024 bridal

It’s one of the biggest moments in anyone’s life. Reeds Jewelers wanted a video campaign and brand film that captured this significance.

Wallaby went to Asheville and filmed four different couples at different stages of their relationship. We see a proposal, shopping for wedding bands, a first look and an elopement.

With the beauty of the mountains in fall as a backdrop, the results speak for themselves.

This gave REEDS a ton of video content to use for social media campaigns including Instagram and Facebook. Various edits feature different products, couples and also were delivered in various aspect ratios for different CTV campaigns, including pre-roll on Hulu.

REEDS Recruiting

Reeds is family-owned, as such they see themselves as a family. They wanted this to come across in their recruitment video, aimed at hiring top talent to their retail locations.

Wallaby decided to highlight family values, work-life balance and the love their store associates have for their job to attract new employees to join the family.

As part of the video project, our production team had to drive and fly all over the Southeast. This included filming in Texas, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina and Maryland to interview some of the best Reeds employees.

Love’s Path

Love is a journey, not a destination. That is the tagline for the Reeds exclusive jewelry collection, Love’s Path.

We follow the story of a romantic relationship told by six different couples at six different times. The choreography of the camera was rehearsed to coincide with the movement of the actors, and seem like a participant in the story.

This was a 3 day shoot that involved every aspect of production, from casting to scouting, wardrobe, hair and makeup for various talent, editing and more.

Valentine’s Day 2019

Through our relationship with Reeds Jewelers we’ve made many videos and tv commercials. This one from 2019 is one of our favorites. It follows a husband trying his best to get his wife the perfect gift. However, after a long journey to build a bookshelf ends in failure, he realizes he probably should have just started at Reeds Jewelers.

This commercial was a ton of fun to produce. It involved vintage anamorphic lenses and a bookshelf rigged to collapse on cue by the set decoration team.
