Tag Heuer is famous the world over for their top-of-the-line Swiss watches. Reeds Jewelers wanted a video highlight the Carrera watch and what makes it so timeless. The details of a Swiss watch are wonderful to highlight in a video. You can see the expert craftsmanship in every element of the timepiece. The Wallaby team set out to capture this in a way that separated this watch from the crowd.

For this video, the Wallaby team decided on using the actual watches, not 3D models, to show authenticity to the potential customer. Many watch commercials and video use computer generated models of the watches. There is none of that in these videos. All shots are actual shots of the watches. Getting close enough in video for a second hand to fill the frame required quite a few custom solutions. We also wanted the actual movement, from the camera to the edit transition, to be engaging, fast paced and moving, which required us to rig our camera in all kind of new ways.
Finally we decided to shoot these on classic, beautiful vintage lenses that reflected the same care & dedication as the watches we were filming: the legendary Cooke Speed Panchros.
